hecigo brand and trademark

The hecigo name and logo are registered with the Intellectual Property Office of Viet Nam. This page is the registry record, written out so anyone can check it without asking us first, followed by the rules for using the name and the mark.

Checking it yourself

Search the mark name hecigo in the public database published by the registrar at wipopublish.ipvietnam.gov.vn. It returns one record.

The registry writes the two numbers in its own format, which is worth knowing before you decide they do not match the certificate: the certificate number appears as 4-0521781-000, and the application number as VN-4-2023-07143.

That link goes to the office that granted the mark rather than to the agent who filed it. A record you can only reach by filling in someone's contact form is not a record you can check.

What the registration covers, and what it does not

Class 09 is the software class. It covers the packaged, downloadable things hecigo publishes, which today are the two open-source n8n community nodes on npm listed under developer resources.

It is not a registration in class 42, so it carries no claim over integration services. We name the class rather than write "registered trademark" on its own and leave you to assume the wider reading.

Writing the name

  • Always lowercase: hecigo. Including at the start of a sentence, and in headings and titles.
  • Never set it in capitals, and never give it a capital first letter. The one exception is the legal entity name, HECIGO TECHNOLOGY CO., LTD, where the company register requires capitals.
  • The registered-mark symbol goes on the first or most prominent mention in a document, once: hecigo®. Repeating it in every paragraph is the opposite of what it is for.
  • Do not translate it, abbreviate it, hyphenate it, or bend it into a verb.

The lockup is the hexagon plus the wordmark. Files sit under /logo/ on this site, in SVG for anything that renders SVG and PNG for the mail clients that do not.

The brand gradient runs #5F96FF to #4E37C5, and the wordmark ink is #181818. Those three values are mirrored from the hecigo design system, which is where they are decided.

Four things to avoid. The second is not hypothetical: an earlier version of this site flipped the logo with a CSS filter instead of shipping the two variants, and the result was a wordmark in a colour that is nowhere in the registration.

  • Recolouring the gradient, or flattening it to one of its two ends.
  • Putting the light lockup on a light background, or the dark one on a dark background. Pick the variant, do not invert the image with a CSS filter.
  • Stretching the lockup to fill a box, or rotating it.
  • Crowding it. Leave clear space on all four sides at least equal to the height of the hexagon, and do not set the full lockup narrower than 96 pixels, where the wordmark stops being legible.
